First thoughts after watching Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 Episode 12
This note includes a spoiler.
I watched Jobless Reincarnation season 3 episode 12 twice.
So, this episode was almost entirely about the talk between the current and future Rudy. What happened to the future Rudy was pretty horrible. First, Roxy died. I had wondered what would have happened if Rudy had gone to the basement. There was a rat in the basement, and the rat gave her the illness that killed her. I didn't expect that a little thing would kill somebody, but it was actually similar to Nanahoshi's mana illness. Also, Roxy had a baby in her belly and that caused it. So, it sounded like Man God wanted to kill Roxy or her baby, though old Rudy couldn't figure out its intent.
Next, Sylphie died. Because she couldn't get Rudy back on his feet after Roxy's death, she left to join the civil war in the Asura Kingdom and died. Luke was also tricked by Man God. So, not only Rudy but also other people were manipulated by it.
Then he fought against Eris again and again, and she died too. Nanahoshi's experiment also failed, and she died. It sounded like Cliff wasn't alive, but I don't know when he died. So overall, his life at the end was full of regret, after a few weeks of the same time in this episode. And that might've been the reason why he said he wasn't Rudy.
I also thought old Rudy knew who Man God was, but even he didn't know. At least he was named as Human God and now Man God, and also he said Man God couldn't be defeated. It was so convincing because he could even use a lot of strong magic like time travel, flying, or telepathy and still couldn't find it. Will the Rudy in this world win against it? I don't know. But as old Rudy said, Man God is the last boss, so he might be able to. But because of the time travel, old Rudy lost part of his body, and he was also near his end. But right before he died, he sensed Roxy and Sylphie over the wall, meaning he was also able to see things through obstacles like walls.
Rudy went out of the room and talked to them, but of course, he couldn't tell them what had really happened. He actually also followed what old Rudy said, because he said he shouldn't rely too much on others. I felt it was weird, but he lived by himself for a long time, so that might be the reason he said so. Anyhow, Roxy accepted that there was something he couldn't tell her, and they just went back to their rooms and decided not to leave their rooms that night. And Rudy just burned old Rudy's body and buried his bones in the ground. Then he decided to go to the basement and used ice magic before going in. And he found a frozen mouse with teeth made of petrified mana in the basement, as old Rudy guessed. Old Rudy also gave the diary to Rudy, and that's for the next episode.
So the next episode is probably what happened to the old Rudy, and it's going to be a horrible thing, I believe.
