First thoughts after watching Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 Episode 8

I watched Jobless Reincarnation season 3 episode 8 twice.

Alright. Finally the story started changing a little. It's a little interesting that demons aren't allowed in the flying fortress because Perugius doesn't like them. Because of that, Roxy wasn't allowed in. I guess she headed back by road on her own afterward because nobody was with her, and she knew it could take days. The reason why Rudy took time to be teleported was... Man God? Or the capacity of the magic? The teleport magic's animation reminded me of the background when Rudy met Man God.

Rudy also avoided answering, when he and Sylphie were asked, whether he knew Man God or not. She answered she didn't know, and I wondered whether she had just lied. Obviously, he lied because he had been attacked by Orsted the last time he answered that he knew. And they didn't have a way to recognize it. But I guess she didn't have such an experience, so she answered honestly. And in that case, why were they detected? Because of their magic capacity? Or magic without an incantation was detected, and they thought that was the handiwork of Man God, though Rudy figured it out by himself and taught her? Or, Rudy was actually created by Man God?

Anyhow, the flying fortress was a huge castle with nature inside it, and then they entered the throne room and met Perugius. He was intimidating, and many people were nervous, but Nanahoshi was calm and didn't hesitate to push back at him. Perugius was definitely a good guy. He also reacted to a couple of things: one was the fully autonomous doll, and the other was Rudy and Sylphie. I didn't know the intent behind naming their son if they had one, but did he have some intentions to bring Rudy and Sylphie onto his side? But why only a son? Zanoba's fully autonomous doll was rare even for him, so probably that fortress wasn't really industrialized. He also didn't know about the displacement incident. He thought it wasn't by humans, but was it really? I thought someone like Man God did it.

Also, we finally got to know why Elinalise got her curse. She was found in a labyrinth without her memory and emotions, and got emotions afterward, but never got her memories back. Even though she was married, her husband was killed and she needed to deal with her curse. And she needed to leave the elf village that had taken her in, because of her curse. Rudy empathized with her even though she hid her past, and this reminded me what a good character Rudy was. Rudy's past life was not going well.

Anyhow, then they talked about taking a lecture on teleport magic from Nanahoshi's master. And at lunch, they ate food similar to Japanese food. Because Nanahoshi really wanted to go back to her world, she shed tears while eating it, and I empathized with her. Then Cliff and Zanoba found a path to the underground, and some murals. But what were they? The Armored Dragon King immediately came and kicked them out. Did they mean something? He didn't say so, but were they murals from Laplace's time or something?

Also, Rudy was advised not to use his magic in the fortress. But Sylphie, who uses the same kind of magic as him, used hers when Nanahoshi came to their room because she was coughing a lot. Sylphie felt a little weird when she used her magic and tried to use more. But then Nanahoshi threw up blood. I didn't know it was because of her magic, or it was because of Nanahoshi's health, but probably the former. That place wasn't a good place to use magic for Sylphie or Rudy.

So, in the next episode, something will start happening. I want to see what's going to happen. They'll probably save Nanahoshi and come down from the flying fortress.

    • He was calm down from a few facts, he looked worried when he met Perugius, so I felt his sense of anxiety which is usual for normal people.

    • She didn't want Rudy to be too close to Nanahoshi and she was jealous. It was cute.
  • Nanahoshi: 8/10
    • She might be the anime character who most wants to go back to her own world. I liked this.
    • She also pushed back at Perugius, so that was good.
  • Perugius: 5/10
    • He seems like a nice person, but he's still a king, or a god.
  • Elinalise: 7/10
    • Finally, we've seen why she got a curse
  • Zanoba: 6/10
    • I liked his attitude and how frankly he talked with Perugius.
