Random thoughts after rewatching Apothecary Diaries Season 1 Episode 3
This note includes a spoiler.
I rewatched Apothecary Diaries season 1 episode 3 twice. 7/10.
This was a sleepwalking lady's story. OK, I didn't notice at first, but Jinshi got a letter from the military officer, so he suspected Concubine Fuyou had lied. And that was the reason he wasn't convinced by Maomao's suggestion. So, he wanted to make sure and tried to work out what kind of person Maomao was.
Also, Maomao started wondering who the hell he was. Of course, she was smart, and he freely walked around the rear palace, so that was very natural. Her conjecture was also somewhat true. He was definitely the Emperor's favorite. She also knew a lot of people and cases in the Verdigris House and remembered them. She was curious about everything but gossip.
But why was Lady Gyokuyou envious of Concubine Fuyou? Didn't she have someone she wanted to be with, even though she was with the Emperor? Maybe it was a lot of pressure to be one of the Emperor's concubines.
It was good that the quack doctor had already forgiven Maomao as well. He might've been afraid of someone who didn't know medicines touching anything in his storeroom.
And then, why was there another song in this episode when Concubine Fuyou met the military officer? Was she actually an important person?
