Random thoughts after rewatching Apothecary Diaries Season 1 Episode 1
This note includes a spoiler.
I rewatched Apothecary Diaries season 1 episode 1 twice. 7/10. I watched it until the middle of season 2, but this was a complex story so I wanted to start again from the beginning and understand it better.
First of all, the voice actress for Maomao, Aoi Yuki, was so good. How she speaks changes so much with her emotions, even in normal scenes. It showed Maomao's character, too.
In terms of the story, it's still a bit of a mystery why Maomao ended up living in the rear palace after being abducted. Maybe a later episode explains it, but I forgot what it was.
Also, episode 1 showed pretty well what this series was, or who Maomao was. She was a curious cat, who didn't want to get involved in anything terrible like the rear palace or concubines at all. Also, the story misled me about her character a little when she showed she had a complex about her face and her body.
Jinshi already showed he was a person who liked to scheme and worked pretty well, and he was smart as hell. His voice was also so good.
Well, there's nothing else on my mind. As I saw the first time, the backgrounds are absolutely gorgeous, and the clothes and characters are colorful and varied.
