First thoughts after watching Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 20 (season 2, episode 8)

I watched Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 20 twice. 6/10. Story was 3/5, animation was 3/5, voices and audio were 3/5. This was just preparation for the Second Bloom, and I didn't have many thoughts.

The main topic in this episode was more like, what was Wis? Wis was an unknown kind of magic and many people didn't know the details, and there was no book describing it. I guess that was inherited from his ancestors over 500 years and he got that power, but it was still unclear what it was.

It was a good backstory for Julius, explaining why he became selfish and unkind. That was way too much, though — losing his first love, especially when the person he loved was years older than him and he was very young. And he's still dragging it around at his age. But still, he tried to do everything he could to achieve his goal and that showed how determined and ambitious he was.

Who was Cerridwen? Will thought she used to be with him for a long time, so, was she actually his mother, or did she just have a similar vibe to Workner? Elfie seemed to rely on her, too, so she might've been someone they knew for a long time. No idea about the relationship between her and Julius though.

And I thought Kreutz would turn out to be a good guy, but it looks like he won't and this character might be drawn as a villain. Maybe my view of him will change, but that seems unlikely. And also, it's a defect of the Tower's Bloom system to let someone like Kreutz interfere with which candidates a faction can pick when he's responsible for the first floor.

As for Iris, if she liked Will so much, how could she treat him like that? Will was definitely her favorite, I know that, but how could she use him as a Watcher? The argument between Iris and Elfie was, like, Elfie could've done better in the previous Bloom. So, Iris had every right to ask him to join now.
