First thoughts after watching Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 18 (season 2, episode 6)

I watched Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 18. 7/10. Story was 4/5, animation was 3/5, voices and audio were 3/5. This episode was about preparing clothes to enter the tower, then entering the first floor of the tower, and then starting the selection and the First Bloom.

The overall story was going as normal, nothing special. But, when Elfie was convinced that Will had to show his strength to the tower, I was like, what were they talking about? Defeating Devander itself wasn't enough for them? Or mages in the tower didn't care about the town at all?

I felt a little pity for Julius, though well, there was no need because of what he did to Will already. Obviously, Elfie was not only indifferent to him, but also despised him. He became a comedy character in this series. And also, Julius was not a person who really cared about people or at least Will, and didn't understand why he kept dodging attacks.

Speaking of Will, Will's understanding of Elfie was so deep. Like, how many years did they spend together and how could he understand that much without hearing anything from her, or any of the high mages?

Preparing robes and changing colors based on factions were a nice touch. Of course it was magic, so that made sense. But why was Colette's garb so unique and special compared to the others? She was one of the fan-service characters in this series.

What happens in the next episode? Obviously, the First Bloom will continue, and I think Will will join the Ice faction and he invited Julius too. Then, not sure what will happen afterward. Probably training, or each faction will fight as exercises.

Watched 2nd time. There are 3 animation scenes that are worth calling out to me. When Colette let the mannequins fall down, she was so upset. I didn't understand at first glance, but she did it because they were luxury shops and she didn't want to cause trouble.

Next, when Will ran toward a monster, his glasses showed the monsters. It was detailed but it caught my eye somehow. Maybe because they showed how focused Will was.

Last, when Will used Wiz and then fell down into the fight, he didn't jump. Instead, he let the gravity fall down himself naturally. Why did he just fall? Was he trying to stay calm? Maybe he'd calmed down — or felt cooler-headed — because of Julius's magic.

And what is the Earth faction? Aaron's faction? And why wasn't Aaron there?
