First thoughts after watching I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class Episode 10

I watched I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class episode 10. 8/10. This episode was on the day of the Christmas party. And mainly, it was about

1. Maki wanted to talk to Minato
2. Maki arranged a time for his father and mother to meet
3. Umi and her friends talked
4. Maki and Umi started dating

I was wondering what Maki planned to do. Honestly, didn't he do it beforehand? So I was a little let down. And also, I wasn't 100% sure why Minato was part of that scene. Maybe Maki wanted her to see their family's true relationship as he hoped. But the dry relationship between Maki's father and mother was kinda realistic for divorced parents, so I'm glad to see that.

Also, this anime smoothly transitioned from the divorce and broken relationship to Umi's storyline, too. I didn't think it through, but Umi regretted her behavior and the hurtful things she had said to her two friends. I misunderstood that they were in the same school when they came to the school festival. So this Christmas party was the first time for them to meet since then. She apologized to them and said aloud what she should have; they did the same, and they made up. That made me realize Umi was a really great girl who cared about her friends and others a lot.

At the Christmas party, I thought many people would wear dresses, but it seemed only Amami and Umi did. Well, regular people just thought it was a school event, so it kinda makes sense that other people wore their school uniforms. But Amami was definitely the type to wear one, and Umi followed her — and to show Maki, too. And also, it was great that Maki couldn't keep his eyes off Umi even at that time, so he was an honest and loyal guy. And finally they made up. It took 10 episodes.
