Random thoughts after re-watching Saga of Tanya the Evil episode 10
This note includes a spoiler.
I watched the Saga of Tanya the Evil season 1 episode 10. I watched this series a long time ago, and I liked it, but I forgot most of the story, so before the season 2, I decided to watch again.
So this episode started from the operation Tanya started in the previous episode. I thought the Republicans noticed when they arrived but they didn't, so it was a mission to keep themselves hidden and attacked Republic's communications HQ. Well, because the V-1 flew way higher than most people fly so they couldn't detect nor notice them. And Tanya and Visha killed soldiers like assassins and brought down the one building, but it was empty. Tanya wanted to check the status from others but they didn't respond. It was great that she looked upset for this critical mission. But it was successful on both groups after a couple of attempts and they left the HQs.
Then Zettour and Kurt were blamed by any other people in a meeting room and they demanded explanations. Well, it kinda made sense that they wanted to know the plan because the military only said it'll be gone. Then the news came and they were surprised, but Zettour had really a bold heart.
Then there was another operation in the west side of the Rhine and it succeeded. I was like, if they were able to do it, why did they need Tanya's operation. But it seemed it was the most effective way to bring down the Republic and couldn't have been used because it was only target to the west side. So the Empire was now surrounding the Republic's forces that were attacking into the Empire. This was a good war anime to see.
The 203rd battalion was in a submarine. I was like, why were they there? But apparently, they planned to surround the Republic like mages so they couldn't leave the battlefield. But before arriving the battlefield, Grantz was shot and went down. I wasn't sure he was going to be out. I mean, I expect Tanya would lose many of her soldiers for sure, but maybe not this time and for him? Anyhow, they were attacked by the Allied Kingdom led by the man who was defeated in the Entente Alliance. He was for the vengeance, but if it was for vengeance, then why didn't he shoot Tanya at first? I had no idea what they thought.
Watched again. Okay, I missed a lot of parts. First, no wonder the Republic's HQ didn't notice 203rd's groups. They attacked partially to make them busy. And then, submarine was prepared so they can leave the place.
And then the Operation Lock Pick was prepared for an entire year. I thought why no Republican soldier or even people noticed it, but probably they were too busy on the war line and didn't care a little far place of the underground.
When Tanya knew the operation Lock Pick was successful and ordered to join the operation Revolving Door, she looks happier than other times. And also, when she flew and was thinking about the peace time, I really felt she was a regular person who didn't want to join a war.
And then, the man from Entente Alliance. How could he become Colonel in the Allied Kingdom? That was a little weird thing, but probably Being X was involved.
