Random thoughts after re-watching Saga of Tanya the Evil episode 2
This note includes a spoiler.
I watched the Saga of Tanya the Evil episode 2. I watched this series a long time ago, and I liked it, but I forgot most of the story, so before the season 2, I decided to watch again.
The first half of the episode was how Tanya was born. She was reincarnated from a man who was killed by another man by pushing him in front of a train. He had fired that man, who he had thought that man was incompetent and that was a revenge. Right before he was dead, God stopped the time, and talked to him from all of other people and pigeons. The God complainted he didn't believe them and figured out he was satisified with his life and didn't seek God. Instead, he thought they were devils or similar to that, and he called it "Being X." So that was the start of Tanya. Well, firing employees by a manager is common in some companies, so maybe they deserve reincarnations according to this. He had a humor and talked to the Gods that overwork was wrong and they didn't understand customer's needs right before he was dead and he knew he was going to be dead.
Tanya was born in a poor community in 1900's during the war and had a magic. That was the world where Being X tried to make her believe Being X as she lived in dire straits? But wasn't it at least better not to give her the magic talent? Sounds like they failed choosing a world.
Anyway, Tanya noticed she can promote in an army if she can use a magic and wanted to be off from the war. So she entered into the army and became a lead? in her early age, before 9 years old. But she was trying to her person disciplined by shooting them and the Lieutenant Colonel stopped her. She was too strong even by a physical fight already, so her magic made her so strong even in an army.
Then she went to the nordan border which Entente Alliance was trying to march into the Empire, and they started fighting. She did well first for observatory role, but she got an order that she must wait for 600 seconds to fight against one company. She loves a rule and order, so she followed it and attacked against them by only one person against 10 people or so? She managed to dodge most of attacks, and at the end, she left the battlefield by trying to burn herself up but protect herself too. That was her plan to avoid going into the front line again while showing how much she dedicated to work for the army, but defeating 4 soldiers was too impressive and she got the Silver Wing. So, that may backfire her.
Watched 2nd time.
When she needed to fight a company after the Nordan control said a death order to her, she was shaking her right hand and thought she was scared of being dead. But then she started laughing and she thought something positive about the fight. Which made me think was she really just rationale who didn't emphasize others? Or was she just a psychopath and didn't care her life? Maybe.
In terms of animation, when she was an instructor and flied from the 2nd floor to the ground, she flied. And the jewell of her chest, I guess magic jewell, lit up at that time from red to green, as it does when she uses her magic.
Also, with an army's uniform, Tanya brought her bag in front and her transceiver and some devices on the back. Maybe at the time, the machine isn't so small so they needed to bring that big one. Then when she self destructed, she both of the bag and the devices were gone by her explosion.
