First thoughts after watching Re:Zero season 4 episode 11

I watched the Re:Zero season 4 episode 11. I remember the story for season 2 and 3 only a little, but don't remember the details of each character that much. This note includes a spoiler.

So, in the previous episode, Ram figured out Subaru was not who he used to be. He was trying to attack her to hide it, but Emilia was there too, and she put him into an ice cage in the same room. Then he confessed he lost his memory. Ram didn't believe him, or was even angry with him. It's because he was the only one who remembers Rem, so if nobody remembered her sister, she was upset. And she tried to attack him, but Emilia was trying to save him. Ram pushed her to the side and attacked him, then he shut out his mind, so he became another Subaru. The question I had was Ram said something about Rem, and asked him about what happened to Rem. I felt it was something wrong to Rem in the spirit room, but I couldn't figure out what it was.

Anyway, then Subaru got back himself, and then saw "Subaru was here" everywhere in the room's wall. How did he do it? No clue. But then Reid came to the room. Reid was somehow out of the 2nd floor, and I wondered about it, but something was changed. I guess, Emilia went to the exam on the 1st floor and did something, probably passed it. That's why Reid didn't have to be there and came out of it. But I thought he was dead and he couldn't come out or he would disappear, but he didn't?! Will there be 2 Sword saints, then? Anyway, then Reid and Subaru walked around the tower and they found Julius. Somehow, he was downstairs and fought against mabeasts alone. What happened? Maybe he was a decoy to escape others. He was about to be dead, so Subaru was thinking about reading Julius's death book afterward, but Julius shouted to warn him. And then Reid came to downstairs and defeat those mabeasts. Anyway, Reid wanted to fight Julius, so they started fighting. Julius relied on Subaru to protect Foxidna and Anastasia. And Subaru decided to run to find them.

He then found Baeko and Foxidna. Foxidna warned Baeko that he was fake according to Ram. Then he told he lost his memory but she didn't believe him. Baeko looked really surprised and was sad, so she really was a kid reaction and adorable. But then Subaru cried out how the hell he wanted to be him because he didn't like himself. They were really surprised about how he felt, but Baeko still trusted him. Foxidna anyway stayed away from him, but he was trusted about her by Julius, so he pulled her and moved together. Then mabeasts attacked and they defeated them, but then, those deadbodies exploded. Baeko was gone, and then Subaru pulled Foxidna, but she lost her lower body and about to be dead. He was trying to put her out of her misery, but he couldn't, and at that time, finally, Foxidna admitted he was him. She said it was good that Anastasia didn't have to experience that pains and she did instead, so what she said before that she would lose her life if it can save Anastasia was really true.

Then the Witch came. She repeated I love you to Subaru, and he was about to be completely in her mana, but right before that, Emilia saved him. And instantly, she was gone and Emilia pulled him and started running. But then, he cried out and didn't understand why people still wanted to work with him. So, while the Witch's mana came to them, Emilia shared what happened since she met him from the first time. And then confessed she loved him, and he noticed original him did his best to save her. It totally made sense that everyone's trust put him pressure because he didn't like himself. What was sad to me was, the Mathers' villages' incident didn't include Rem, because Emilia didn't remember her, so it was only by Subaru and Ram. Also, from Emilia's perspective, he didn't mess up a lot so impressions of what Subaru actually did and felt lost from what she shared. Then the ground was collapsed somehow and Emilia and Subaru went to the... mana? Then Subaru pulled himself together again right before going into that. Then next time, he woke up right after he came to the another world at the first time in his memory.

Overall these episodes were great. It was interesting to see what happened to a loops' main character if they don't remember a thing, and these episodes exactly show that. In the end, it seems Subaru pulled himself together and passed exams. That said, these are 3rd times that Subaru needed to go through painful experiences. 1st time was when he was saved by Rem when he confronted the White whale and Petelgeus, and 2nd time was when Otto saved him at the graveyard and needed to resolve the exam there and the Mather's mansion. Plus, Emilia will lose these memories so how much will this be important? Well, if he doesn't remember his past, this experience is probably the most important experience to him, though. That might be a thing to make Emilia as the most important main character to him. Before that, Rem was also one of the most important person still to him.

Also, I thought the Witch appeared in the tower again. I thought the Witch overtook Emilia's body at the graveyard and in the tower, but she came to rescue Subaru. So, who was the Witch? This character might be unrelated to existing characters, but in some stories, these characters might be actually from known characters. For example, Foxidna might be actually Echidna of the Witch and will take over Anastasia in the future. Assuming that, she appeared at the graveyard and in the tower, and only possible characters who could be was Emilia or Ram in both places. Ram is very unlikely, though. I mean, even if she could, how could she repeat to Subaru that she loves him indefinitely? So, Emilia, then? At the graveyard, she lost her mental and I thought that was the cause which made her the Witch. Seems unlikely here, so what happened?

Anyway, this is the end of the part of the season 4, and there has been nothing to be solved. These are something Subaru has to figure it out. First, who killed Subaru in the tower? Perhaps, Meili, from the feeling that she didn't want others to know that she was in the archive. Second, why did Subaru lose his memory? I guess he read a gospel and that took over his body. Third, how to pass the exam with the 2nd floor? Well, this will be that they are going to read books in the archive and find a solution for sure. Fourth, what did Ram find about Rem? Still no idea. Fifth, what happened to Rem, or someone looks like Rem when she killed Subaru in the 3rd life? Most likely she was one of the Sin Archbishop, but where was she from? Meili called her somehow?

So, let's wait for the following part in months.

I misunderstood that something happened to Rem but she didn't mention anything in this episode, apparently. Still, there was an animation that she noticed something in the previous episode about her, so what was that?

It was also painful to watch the end of Foxidna in the episode. The last word was to apologize to Subaru for him, rather than something for Anastasia or Julius at all.

Also, Shaula and Ram didn't show up after he lost his memory after he was trapped into an ice cage. It seemed that some monsters were going around in the tower when Shaula was gone, so something happened to her? Maybe Emilia and others couldn't solve exams appropriately. Ram wasn't there because, I don't know. Was she killed by somehow? And then the woman when she came in the 3rd loop didn't appear at all in the fourth loop.
