First thoughts after watching Re:Zero season 4 episode 10

I watched the Re:Zero season 4 episode 10. I remember the story for season 2 and 3 only a little, but don't remember the details of each character that much. This note includes a spoiler.

Subaru was surprised that Meili was dead on the floor and he obviously killed her, but he didn't remember what happened. So he hid her under a podium and left the room. Then Emilia came to him and worried about him and he wondered how kind she was to him. He was basically shut-in who couldn't do anything before coming to the world, so no wonder. Then Ram came to them, and she asked them to go to the archive where Baeko was there.

Baeko found out the dead book of Meili. They discussed who would read it, and Baeko suggested it should be either Subaru or Julius. And, why? They didn't have mana that much? Subaru may not be necessary for Reid but Julius should, so I don't get why she suggested them, instead of Ram or Emilia. Emilia was hesitant to read the book but Shaula suggested reading it, as if she doesn't care people's deaths. Probably she killed people so many so far, lives are nothing special for her, obviously. Then as suggested, Subaru read the book.

The book was of course about Meili's life. She was picked up by a wolf. It's weird that the wolf didn't eat her but well, it's a fantasy. Then Elsa came and she kills her parents, wolves, and Elsa picked up Meili. She was brought to her mother, who was the Sin Archbishop who can change their forms in the season 3. I forgot her name nor which one her sin was. Anyway, she traveled around with Elsa, and she killed people without any hesitation anywhere, and she was surprised and frightened. Well, naturally, because it might've been her turn next. But then Elsa was gone, and actually, she still didn't learn how to show emotions. She was just trying to immitate Elsa until then. Then Subaru found her, and brought her to the tower. So, for her, the village's issue wasn't the serious nor important thing she wanted to remember. She wanted to find something in the archive, but Subaru found her and she avoided him. Who's book she wanted to find? Elsa? Anyway, then somehow she didn't want to be found by anyone and be known, so wanted to do something against him. And next time, he was in the archive, and was reading books. But then he said something to her. It was obviously not Subaru. Did he find and read a gospel and became one of Sin Archbishops? Then next day, she talked about what he said while he was the Archbishop, and the that man killed her. So, that means, before he lost the memory, he became that man, and even after he lost his memory, he still was that man.

After reading the Meili's book, he was so shocked, confused, and couldn't talk. Because he was so afraid of being found that he killed her, he saw an illusion of her and heard her voice from her illusion. Everyone avoided reading the book because he was unable to react and respond, except that Shaula seemed to know what he did. And then, they couldn't find her body, and they decided not to find it anymore.

It was so shocked for Subaru, so at night, he left the spirit room and tried to shut up Patrasche. And he wanted to confirm if there was a body, and it lost. Then Ram came to the place, and found out Subaru wasn't him. Then he was so on the edge, he almost made up his mind to kill her to hide it. Because the illusion he was seeing said to him that murder became a habit to solve another problem once that person had succeeded to do so. But this is the end of the episode.

The body lost because I guess Ram knew he killed and the body was there, because she called him and Emilia, and didn't want others to look it. Maybe Foxidna also knew it. Other people couldn't hide anything with straight faces so these were only people who were suspicious, other than Shaula. Obviously, Ram has an ability to look someone through the Mabeast, so used it to Patrasche and followed him, and showed Subaru the same gesture as he had done to Patrasche against him.

Well, it was fun, but nothing is clear yet, and the next episode is the final episode in the season 4, or at least in the part of this season. Do I need to wait for a long time for what will happen? Really?

Watched 2nd time.

Did Subaru become the other Sin Archbishop like when he did during Petelgeus? It seemed not, but I couldn't say for sure. I noticed why Subaru started questioning about himself, because from his perspective, Subaru with his own memory was the person who was murder of Meili and seemed to do the same thing against other people like Emilia or Baeko. So in the later episode, what the illusion Subaru saw looks like Meili said and behaved basically the Subaru's inner thought and just talked to him. Also, Subaru was so afraid of being found out, cameras often pointed out necks who he targeted.

In terms of why/how the Meili body wasn't found, I bet Shaula hid it. Shaula noticed Subaru did something to Meili somehow, so that's why. Why did she notice about it was unclear, though. She hadn't known the archive before Subaru came, so she didn't know the dead book must include the moment when a person is dead or not. She may be able to figure out who is lying or not?

Another unclear thing was, when Ram was trying to find Meili, she came to the spirit room, saw Rem's body, and found out about something. What was that about? Was there anything suspicious? No idea.

Then thinking back who killed Subaru in the 1st or 2nd loop in the tower, I guess it was likely Meili. Ram could be if she could've found out Subaru could be the Sin ArchBishop, but she didn't and also asked questions to him and wanted him not to lose the memory. Meili could have done it because, in this memory, she said she didn't want to be seen in the archive but he saw her, so she pushed him to avoid being noticed. Subaru allowed do whatever she wanted, and that might be the one she wanted? No, not pretty make sense, but could be
