First thoughts after watching Re:Zero season 4 episode 9

I watched the Re:Zero season 4 episode 9. I remember the story for season 2 and 3 only a little, but don't remember the details of each character that much. This note includes a spoiler.

This episode was the best one in the season 4. So we figured out who was the main heroine. Patrasche. Period.

Subaru went outside of the tower, and faced a sand worm. I think this was owned by Meili. Right before he was eaten, it was killed by Shaula's magics. I thought she would attack him next, but instead, he fell down into the quicksand. He didn't even see her at all.

Then he went to the underground again, and walked to the right side of the crosswalk, and hit the 3rd wall. He couldn't open the gate, but somehow, the gate lit up and he was moved to the watchtower. Why? There was no hint so no idea. Maybe because he was the only one and he was the master of Shaula?

It seemed he went nuts again, or maybe he went to pieces because of the pressure that he would be killed by others, so he talked himself to persuade him to kill others. That was exactly what happened to him when he faced to Petelgeus. He thought he was able to kill someone who had killed him no matter who, though he had no ability to do so, and he knew it, so he was kinda. arrogant?

Then when he went to the upstairs, the first thing he saw was Shaula's dead body. So, because he pretended to be strong, he was frightened about that and thought she wasn't the one. I was anticipating some ugly mabeast from Shaula would come and kill him. Actually, the subtitle of this episode is Empty shell, so it was perhaps about her in this scene.

Then he looked around and found many dead bodies. Ram was dead in front of the chair which Rem sit and which Ram pushed, and she had something on her back, or maybe her back was cut through. It was, perhaps, in the spirit room? Then Meili and Julius was dead in the same room. Don't know where. Maybe the room where they ate a meal. Why didn't Julius be with Foxidna? Then Foxidna was dead below the downstairs of the 2nd floor. The blood of the downstairs looked like the previous episode when Subaru was pushed from the downstairs, so she was killed by him?

Subaru couldn't find Emilia and Beako, but then found Patrasche. He stabbed his broken sword into her body, but she didn't say a single thing, and he lost his word, and he curled up his knee and sat against the wall, saying that he wanted to be alone. Then some sand storm came from the downstairs. Maybe Shaula? Then Patrasche took him and went around while bleeding, and she pushed him to the secret passage and pushed to the skydeck. She was probably killed that sandstorm. Then he was shouting there, and then, he was pushed by someone. That person told him to try again, hero, or something like that, by the voice and the cut scene of Rem. Well, what does this mean? It sounded like this person knew that he returned by death, and also they called him the hero, like Rem. The person who knew he was able to try again was, the Witch and Roswaal only, and used the body of Rem? Did she cause the sand storm in the tower? Not so sure, I feel not because she approached him without any noise. Then why did she wake up, or how could that person take her body? Shaula caused the Witch to wake up? Or maybe because he couldn't find Emilia, she actually climbed up to the watchtower, and did something, and that caused Rem to wake up as the Witch? Beako was... where? Maybe dead? But then, who was killed by a Rem, and who was by Shaula? Ram seemed to be by Rem, because she was near her chair. Not sure others.

That was not the end. So in the next Subaru, he was trying not to tell the fact that he lost his memory, and tried to collect information. He trusted Patrasche only and also Shaula and talked with Julius about what happened in the previous day. It kinda seemed a wrong person to pick up and trusted but he was confused more because Julius didn't want to talk to him because what bothered him was that Subaru hid the secret about Foxidna from him. Then he gave a reward to her by a hug, after she demanded a lot like a child. What is this woman anyway? Elf?

Then he started talking to Meili, and she talked about something happened in the previous day. Then king crimson again. The scene was moved, they were somewhere, probably in the archive, and Subaru thought he killed her. And in his left arm, there was a scar saying that Subaru was coming. I wasn't sure what happened, really. Was it a magic, or why did he lose his memory that short amount of time? I was thinking Meili was the one who attacked him and stole his memory somehow, but she wasn't? Who else? The other suspicious person was Gluttony as it's in the opening, but never appeared yet. No idea what happens.

Watched the 2nd time. When a sandworm attacked Subaru and Shaula protected him, maybe she actually didn't try to kill him as he was the master. Instead, she reacted every single thing other than him and tried to kill them. Then when he went back to the tower, and then someone pushed him. I didn't recognize in English dub, but in the original Japanese audio, how to talk was completely different from Rem. It seemed that... that person was a certain someone, but may be not in the Re:Zero. Or was it actually one of the Sin Archbishop who can mutate their body, which attacked Priestella in the Season 3? I don't know. But then what did she mean about "try again"? hero makes sense because he called himself hero in the town. If this were true, someone in the group was actually that woman, maybe Meili. Maybe Meili was dead when they entered into the tower and joined to Subaru? But then what did it mean that they lived with their parents?

Then, Subaru talked to Julius and Julius's pathetic feeling that Anastasia may forget him hit me. Because Subaru didn't know that Julius was nameless and no way to know it, it was painful.

Also, Meili talked with Subaru that they lived with Elsa. Wasn't that name the assassin who came to a royal town and in the Mathers' Mansion? Anyhow, then this Meili was an imposter and maybe the Sin Archibishop?

Well, if this is that woman, then why did the opening show Gluttony, though lol
