Watching Classroom of the Elite Season 4 Episode 2
I watched the Classroom of the Elite, COTE, season 4, episode 2. In this episode, Horikita and Ayanokoji were trying to overcome the challenge on the next exam overall. Sakayanagi was also trying to do it by the information tactic by taking advantage of class A. What's funny was that compared to them, Ryuen and his classmates were only in a private Karaoke room and talked like he were a king, and ate a popcorn and drunk something like coke. If they're in a bar and drink a wine or wisky, maybe that matches with their characters. And I forgot how useful the 1st year will be through the end of the year and how much the assessment of Ryuen actually was useful.
Besides, Amasawa showed up at the first time in this episode, and she was really creepy woman. When I read the light novel, I guessed this girl was surely from the white room because it was so illogical of what she was doing, but also it might be just a confusing character for readers because Ayanokoji thought the same thing.
In the animation, I noticed the characters were drawn with intentional dashed or thin black lines. It is probably to avoid having clear boundaries of people by those lines because there are no such lines for real humans, but it gives me like an itchy feeling, because the line doesn't show clear distinction.
In the opening, in the previous episode, I guessed the noises on the eyes on each character might be whether they are candidates from Whiteroom or not, but in that case, Tsukishiro must not have it, and also, some 2nd year grades students also have the noises even those in the class D. Maybe these are just drawn on the scenes of Ayanokoji's views and he views most people with that view regardless of a student from the Whiteroom or not.
Ending is, what the heck. Classroom leaders do not matter in the ending, characters are from 1st year and 2nd year, and Ayanokoji is on a throne. Then there is a snake, venomous snake, I guess, and all got dead without any flesh by that venom. No idea what it meant, though. The king Ayanokoji himself is venomous and will kill everybody? Another possibility is that there is a student from the Whiteroom, but they have nothing to do with anyone but Ayanokoji.
